Lounge 33 - Leith

A space to slow down: Lounge 33 is a listening lounge, shaped by the spirit of Japanese Jazz Kissa bars - low key spaces where music takes the lead and everything else slows down.

Built around the record: It started with a love of vinyl and a simple idea: to create the kind of space we want to spend all day in. Somewhere to pause, listen and enjoy music the way it was meant to be heard - on records. 

Why 33? The name comes from the speed a record spins - 33 and a third revolutions per minute.  It also nods to the idea of a third space; not home, not work - just a place to settle in, feel at ease and enjoy something real.

Community at Lounge 33: Lounge 33 is built around more than just music, It's a space for the local community - a place to feel welcome, to connect, and to be part of something a little slower, a little more intentional.

We believe in keeping things local, working with people nearby who share the same values. 

Whether it is stocking pastries and bread from Company Bakery, brewing coffee from Mr Eion, or hosting quiet collaborations with neighbours and artists alike - It's all about building something that feels real and like home. 

We'll also be partnering with local charities and community groups as we grow. No big campaigns, just everyday actions that contribute in a meaningful way.  

We want Lounge 33 to reflect the city we're part of. This is a listening space and that includes listening to the community.
